2021 was one of the best McLaren Vale vintages in the 21st century, with really favorable weather conditions

WINEMAKING

100% hand-picked a whole bunch of Red Sémillon from Kuitpo.
De-stemmed, then half in stainless steel with extended skin contact and 2 batches in ceramic eggs filled with skins for about 250 days.
All are brought together in about 3 months before bottling, with time to settle in and relax.
No fining, no filtration.

WHAT’S GOOD?

Super herbaceous – Koen calls this a “proper winter wine” but it can work at any time of the year.
A soft complex and easy-drinking version of Campari, without the bitterness and no need for a mixer with it.
