Grapes were picked slightly earlier than the commonplace, to retain the fresh acidity and flavour brightness

WINEMAKING

1/3 whole bunch, 1/3 destemmed, 1/3 direct-pressed juice, all co-fermented for 2 weeks
Pressed into old French oak barrels for a 6-month-long maturation
Made from organic grapes only, with nothing added at any stage.
The wine stays unfined, unfiltered
Bottling took place in November 2024
80 dozen were made

Notes from winemaker:

“This year’s theme – love in the uniting sense. Not just your family of neighbours, but humans as a whole. Those you don’t know, or those you disagree with. Enough with the division; it only serves the bad guys.

This time, Love Potion turned out to be the juiciest of them all. Whole bunch character delivers a wine that is broody, ripe dark fruit, chocolate, cedar and black pepper. A touch of Grenache that grows across the vineyard adds an element of blue fruit to it, without detracting from the concentration.

Definitely have it chilled.”
