GROWING

• Soil: Limestone and Slate
• Age of vines: 50 years old
• Certified biodynamic by Demeter

WINEMAKING

• Field blend grapes are hand harvested and destemmed
• Pneumatic press and fermentation take place in 1,500L Austrian Oak barrels
• Racked once before bottling
• No fining, no filtration
• No sulfur addition
• Bottled in April 2022

WHAT’S GOOD?

• A brother of Emmeram and Timotheus, child of Mechtild and Bertholdi, married to Wiltrude
• A medium-bodied red with a serious personality and complexity
• Rich and intoxicating fragrances, a flurry of blueberry, mulberry, and violets, blended in with fresh herbs
• A rich length on the palate with a salty freshness and noticeable fine tannins
• One of the most interesting and rare expressions of Austrian Blaufränkisch 
• Best served slightly chilled (16-18℃)
