WINEMAKING
- Hand-harvested at full ripeness on 20 October 2023
- Destemmed and macerated on skins for one month
- Gentle punch-downs during maceration
- Spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, full malolactic
- Aged in 1,200-liter oak barrels
- Unfined, unfiltered, no sulfur addition
- Bottled on 5 June 2025 – 4,500 bottles
WHAT’S GOOD?
- An ode to Martin’s father, who called a wine by this very same name some 30 years ago.
- 100% Kerner, skin-contact white that proves extraction doesn’t mean heaviness.
- One month of maceration brings out hidden sides: bright tangerine, macerated apricot, eucalyptus, thyme, hints of vanilla.
- “Super fun, awesome German skin-contact white with some mild tannic grip.” Showcasing limestone terroir with plenty of body.
- Light color belies the complexity. This is a wine that tastes bigger than it looks.
- Best served chilled (12-14℃)
