GROWING
- Heavy, chalky soils

WINEMAKING
- 40% Chardonnay, 40% Grüner Veltliner, 20% Sauvignon Blanc, all harvested at optimal ripeness
- Mash is a mixture of skins, seeds and must – produced by light crushing the grapes for a massive expansion of colour, tannins, aromas, energy and power
- All the grapes were macerated in 1000-liter clay amphoras for 3 weeks. After that, the wine was matured in amphoras (80%) and 500-liter wooden barrels (20%) for 9 months.
- Unfined, unfiltered. No added sulfites
WHAT’S GOOD?
- Very herbal, tight and with pressure towards the palate
- Aromatically expressive with grapefruit notes, green tea and yellow fruits
- Firm tannins with grip and structure, woven into a body that impresses with finesse and elegance.
- In the finish, it moves across the palate without lurching and seems vital, inviting and very precise
- Best served at 13-15°C
