- Chenin – Grown by Lulu Lunn in Blewitt Springs. Deep white sand on clay, interspersed with schist.
- Sauvignon blanc – Grown by Jim Zerella in Peter’s Creek. Red clay interspersed with broken shale and quartzite.
Notes from winemaker:
“Chenin Blanc (90%) is direct pressed to old French oak. Sauvignon Blanc (10%) is skin-contact fermented in Amphora, pressed after 11 months.
A 1000 Fires is yellow-green in color, citrus, and apples with a long acid drive. Very spacious on the palate with an ethereal mouthfeel.”
